Project Period. is back!
With 2 in 5 people struggling to afford period products, United Way of the River Cities is tackling this critical need head-on.
During the 2024 Week of Action, we launched Project Period.—an initiative to provide menstrual hygiene supplies to those in need. Thanks to the generosity of our community and incredible volunteers we created 1,168 one-month menstrual hygiene kits, far surpassing our original goal of 800 kits!
Kits were distributed to:
BRANCHES Domestic Violence Shelter
Huntington City Mission
Harvest for the Hungry
Marcum Terrace Family Support Center
Court Street Ministries
Lincoln County Family Resource Network
Wayne County Family Resource Network
Backpack Buddies
Mason County Family Resource Center
St. Peter’s Episcopal Community Outreach
